In a turbulent economic environment characterized by worldwide networks with integration across various
markets and products becoming more distinctive and a constantly growing innovative dynamism, the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
are among the losers. And yet they could easily be among the winners, being so flexible, so full of ideas and having such fast reactions.
They are lead by committed entrepreneurs and supported by motivated employees.
Why are the small and medium-sized enterprises still on the losing side?
What they lack is the necessary size to survive. On their own they are too small to compete against their steadily growing big brothers.
Five years ago they had to deal with three customers to agree on prices and delivery conditions. Today they face one single concern which
no longer negotiates but dictates the rules of the game.
In order to face this market power appropiately and to be able to satisfy a complete product spectrum that is getting wider and more
distinctive every day, these small enterprises must form an alliance. |
